What do you do when a really good friend starts being a somewhat terrible friend, and then tries to make amends? Is it worth it? I don’t have any ill feelings toward this person, I’m just tired of getting cancelled on all the time.

I graduated with my BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University on May 11, 2013. The thought of moving away this coming weekend is very bittersweet. I’m excited to start my life in Minnesota, but it’s going to be hard to leave the place I’ve called home for the last five years. I grew up and changed so much during my time at ISU. While that would’ve been the case anywhere I went, I don’t know if the results would have been the same. When I graduated from high school, I was still this shy, introverted girl who was afraid to break up with her boyfriend even though it was definitely not a good relationship to be in. During college, I forced myself out of my introverted shell, made some of the best friends I’ve ever had, did things I never thought I would do, had some bad relationships and a good one, and learned who I really am. That sounds super lame and full of cliches, but it’s true. As much as I enjoyed college though, I seriously hope it wasn’t the best five years of my life. I’ll always look back on Ames and ISU fondly, but I can’t cling to the past. I’m excited to see what the future holds for me.
